Welcome to “Testing Essentials with Python 1”! This course is the first in the Testing Essentials series, designed to prepare you for the PCET™ – Certified Entry-Level Tester with Python certification exam. The main goal of this course is to provide you with a strong foundation in software testing concepts and techniques using Python. You will learn how to identify and address errors, defects, and failures in software, ensuring quality and reliability in development workflows.
Module 1: Introduction to Software Testing
Learn the fundamental principles of software testing, including the importance of testing in software development and the distinction between errors, defects, and failures.
Module 2: Manual and Automated Testing Techniques
Explore various testing techniques, including manual and automated methods, and understand when to apply each approach.
Module 3: Python-Based Assertions for Testing Workflows
Learn how to utilize Python’s assertion mechanisms to create effective tests and ensure code reliability.
Module 4: Static and Dynamic Testing Techniques
Understand the differences between static and dynamic testing methods and how to apply them in your testing processes.
Module 5: Debugging Practices and Test Coverage Metrics
Gain insights into effective debugging practices and learn how to measure test coverage to ensure comprehensive testing.
