Welcome to “JavaScript Essentials 1”! This is the first course in a 2-part series aimed at preparing you for the JSE – Certified Entry-Level JavaScript Programmer exam. You’ll start from ground zero—no prior programming needed—and learn how to design, write, debug, and run JavaScript programs while mastering core software development concepts
Module 1: Introduction to JavaScript & Programming
Interpreters vs. compilers, local and online environments, browser console usage
Module 2: Variables, Data Types & Type Casting
Primitive types, BigInt, objects, arrays, scope, hoisting, and type conversion
Module 3: Operators & User Interaction
Arithmetic, logical, comparison, string, and special operators. Dialogs: alert, confirm, prompt
Module 4: Control Flow & Loops
Conditionals: if/else, switch. Loops: for, for-in, for-of, while, do-while, break/continue
Module 5: Functions
Declaration, parameters, return values, recursion, first-class functions, arrow functions, callbacks
Modul 6: Errors, Exceptions & Debugging
Syntax, Reference, Type, Range errors. Handling exceptions with try-catch-finally, throw. Debugging tools and techniques
